Belgian billiard player Loncelle suspended

The Belgian billiard player Johan Loncelle is suspended for the next eight years due to a positive drug test. This is the second time that the Belgian tested positive. He protested after the verdict that was made before, was annulled by the committee. The punishment starts, with retroactive effect, last April.

Loncelle did play in the Belgian competition until now. He already was suspended for the Dutch competition. On January 30th 2011, Loncelle tested positively at an away game in Oosterhout (NL) where he played with his Dutch team De Vrachtkar. There were parts of cocaine found in his urine. For his previous misdemeanor he was suspended for two years.

The UMB requests all federations and confederations worldwide to also suspend him from competitions.
