Therefore, the Union Mondiale de Billiard (UMB) decided to set standards to the quality of materials and especially billiard tables, with our own Thierry Gabriels as the UMB consultant. Mister Gabriels will set objective standards for carom tables and the maintenance and material during all UMB competitions. He prepares technical norms to provide the UMB with the necessary demands, so she can judge the quality of the materials used on matches played under the UMB flag.
