Jean van Erp will be the new partner of Dick Jaspers (Netherlands) in the world championships three cushion for country teams. The tournament will be held in March in Viersen (Germany). Jaspers is usually a couple with Raimond Burgman, who now is pointed as first reserve.
The duo Jaspers and Burgman reached the second place in 2000 and 2008, became 3rd last year and took the title in 1998 and 1999. Jaspers comments: "I am classified in group A with Jean, because we ended in the first and second place in the national three cushion ranking in 2011. Of course I am a well known duo with Raimond, but unfortunately he ended in the third place in the ranking. Jean is a very ambitious young player, who keeps getting stronger, so I really look forward to play with him. We are both very motivated to start the tournament in Viersen. I personally love to play there, because it is always very well organized."
